FOUNDATION FAVOURITES

Through my teenage years and up to now, I have definitely experimented a lot with foundations. I’ve tried every brand from Rimmel to MAC but finally think I have found three which are flattering to my skin and achieve the look I want.

Of all three, this Bourjois Happy Light foundation is the most purse friendly at £11.99. It is quite a thick liquid and is slightly mousse like. Although I am usually not a fan of mousse type foundations I really like the coverage this foundation provides. It is light-weight and always makes me feel good after application. Perfect for day time coverage.

(I apologise for the dirty lid, I took this picture and didn’t realise! I’d retake but it has now run out and I’ve thrown it away!)

Benefit’s Oxygen WOW foundation (£26.50) is a relatively new purchase for me. So far, it ticks all the boxes. I have it in the Ivory shade which I find matches my skin perfectly. It also stays on all day and stays fresh so you don’t need to re-apply – definitely a good buy!

Finally, my favourite foundation of all time and probably the most expensive make-up I own. YSL’s perfect touch foundation in shade 5 feels perfect on my skin. It comes with a brush attached and upon application smells absolutely DIVINE. I LOVE IT. Although it is quite a lot of money (£38) so far mine has lasted a while as I do try to save it for special occasions. Fortunately, I have received it as a gift many times, or used Debenhams gift vouchers so haven’t had to pay the full amount.

For me, it is the best foundation I’ve ever worn so if you fancy a make-up splurge then I definitely recommend.
