I’ve always wanted to go to Switzerland, and recently I was very lucky to visit Geneva with my boyfriend.
We decided to visit just before Christmas, so we could see all the festivities taking place.
Lake Geneva is absolutely breath-taking, the water is a bright translucent blue, and even though it was absolutely freezing when we visited, there were plenty of people swimming in it!
Whilst there we explored the city, which was very quaint yet busy with lots of designers shops mixed in with high street. The buildings were beautiful and had that wonderful European look that I can’t quite describe, but if you’ve visited Europe I am sure you know what I mean.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Laduree, a beautiful french restaurant. Of course, I indulged my inner Blair Waldorf and bought 12 macaroons which were very tasty, if only I could have some more!
The one thing I would say is, Geneva is quite pricey. I think this is the case with most European capital cities, but it’s just something to bear in mind if you’re thinking of visiting.
I would definitely recommend it as a place to visit, it’s another European place ticked off our list, now to decide where to next!
